The Chinese Platinum Panda coins of China were produced from 1987 to 2005.
This series was named after the giant Chinese Panda, which features on the reverse of the coin. The People's Bank of China minted 8,300 one-ounce(with a face-value of 10 yuan) between 1987 and 1990. Other smaller denominations were also released from 1990 to 2005. The mintage of Platinum coins stopped in 2005 after the price of platinum increased. These coins were minted in 100 Yuan, 50 Yuan, 25 Yuan, 10 Yuan and 5 Yaun.
