- The Gold Panda coins are minted at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint which is owned by China Gold Coin Corporation, which is owned by China’s central bank(the People’s Bank of China). Each year the image of the Panda coins changes.
From 2016 the Panda coin range changed in size from the troy ounce measurement used by other international coin manufacturers to the nearest equivalent metric values.
This 30g 2025 Chinese Panda coin contains just slightly less gold than the 31.1g found in the traditional one ounce coins.
