Released between 2016 and 2019, the R5 and R10 denomination colored coin series is certainly the most visually appealing series ever produced by the SA Mint.

Depicts the dynamic blue crane, South Africa's national bird, with its distinctive feathers stretched upward. The bird is in striking blue on the reverse with the birds scientific name 'Grus paradisea' and the denomination 'R10'

This coin is composed of 1-ounce Sterling silver.
