The design is a new and modern interpretation of Britannia, designed by The Royal Mint’s Coin Design team and brought together by Principle Designer Jody Clark. The bars reverse depicts the warrior Britannia, stood clutching her trident and protected by her shield against a background of stylised waves. The obverse details the bars weight, metal content and purity.
